Our niece Kailey is growing up so fast. She is now a freshman in high school, competes in gymnastics and even went to Homecoming. Oh, I remember when...
Last night, we all ventured down to Ponderosa to watch Kailey compete. She competed in vault, floor (which we missed :( ) and beam. I can't believe how grown up she has become. Looking at her, I hardly recognize the little wing nut she used to be and how she is now a young lady. We are so proud of your accomplishments, and love you so much!

The school year is underway and so are our kids in all their activities. Jackson is running cross country for South Suburban. He practices two days a week and then has meets on the weekends. He just completed his first race this past weekend. He ran a 2.5k in 10:44. We were very proud of his pacing and control. He has about 5 more races in the season.
Emma is playing soccer this fall. She has practices two days a week, and games on Saturdays. Since Jeff is coaching cross country at AHS, his assistant Mark is taking over as head coach. Emma is playing mostly sweeper and defender. The team hasn't had the best start to the season, but as we keep telling Emma, we are only worried about how hard she is playing out there.
Will is also playing soccer. He is on the same team as last year, however they are now practicing two days a week with games on Saturdays. His team is on fire. They have outscored both opponents this season either 7-1 or 6-1!
Besides cross country and soccer, we have been spending time at the BMX park by our house. All three kids love riding around, jumping off the dirt hills, and occasionally crashing.
School is also going well for the kids. Emma joined drama club and choir. She plays various parts in the upcoming play Ramona Quimby. She also has a Christmas Choir Concert in December. she recently completed her first big school projecct building an Anasazi pot.
Jackson is part of student council again. He also worked on the same Anasazi project Emma completed. Lucky for the both of them, our pottery teacher at AHS, Laura Blum helped them get started on their artwork. She is also going to fire the pots this week so they are professional looking.
Will is off to a great start as well. He is a really good reader and passed his first big math assessment with flying colors!
So far we are off to a great start!
