Jeff and I took off to Seattle, WA to meet AT, Jon and Anne's sister Jenny to run The Light at the End of the Tunnel Marathon. Check out the 2.3 mile tunnel we ran through! Spooky! All of us finished with times we wanted. I finished in 3:31 with a time that qualifies me to run Boston.

We traveled up to Minnesota for a quick stop at the lake and then onward and upward to Duluth, MN for Jeff to run Grandma's Marathon.
Despite the "refreshing" temperature of the lake, the kids loved jumping in over and over again.
I took the kids to see Concordia College where I went to school. It was a lot of fun showing them around and telling them about my college experience.
Here we are in Duluth along the North Shore of Minnesota and hanging out near Lake Superior. It is huge! Luckily, my little brother Adam's good friend Doug wrangled us up a fabulous place to stay at his hotel.
We even did some sight seeing after the marathon going up to Palisade Head, Gooseberry Falls, and eating pie at Betty's Pie place.
We went back to the lake before we headed back home of course stopping at Zorbaz pizza for some amazing vitals.
We took the kids camping at our favorite camping spot, Red Feather Lakes, over Memorial Day Weekend. Sadly, the lightning and rain were so torrential on the drive up, we decided we had better camp in Fort Collins at a hotel rather than trying to set up a tent with metal poles in the dark.
It was a rainy camping trip but we managed to have some fun even venturing into Fort Collins for dinner one night after sitting in the tent for over four hours because of another rain storm.
And of course, ice cream for dessert!
